The Arish Pocket is inspired by the traditional houses in the UAE made from palm trees. This design will merge tradition and function with a modern twist. The shape of the design is inspired by the hand craft weaving technique. It is designed to promote and celebrate local crafts. These traditions have been carried on by the local females who are the main weavers behind the craft for thousands of years, but today they are in danger of being lost. The Arish Pocket will help to create new businesses for those in need and providing an income for a better.
